What do you do for a vacation when you’re a part-time working, homeless, bike racing bum? Well, you quit riding your bike and work full-time. That’s exactly what I’m doing. What better way to spend my down-time recovering from the 24 hour?
I’m working at Roaring Mouse, the first shop I worked at and whose owner took me on my first mountain bike ride just about four years ago. Good times.
I took the exam to become a California subsitute teacher, which is my latest scheme to fund this ridiculous racing campaign. Fingers crossed.
I’ve gone riding a couple times on some of the killer trails in Marin but it’s nice to have some time to just chill, ride for fun and not think about training. (Not that I don’t absolutely love it. It’s still nice to have a break).

Hey Missy Sarah, it was a pleasure hosting you and remember to come back! Thanks also for the wine and healing candle. We intend to partake in both!
I’m glad to report that the cat/kitten experiment is a success. They are the best of friends and are more than enough entertainment now that the Olympics are over.
Take care, keep in touch and keep the rubber side down.

It was great having you around Sarah. Next time you are here we won’t be broken and will be able to ride with you.
